UPDATED: 9:21 am CDT April 28, 2008

A man suspected of driving an SUV in a deadly crash may be back in Omaha and police are asking for some help finding him.

Investigators believe Fredis Ulloa was driving at a high rate of speed in the fall of 2006, when he lost control and crashed near 34th Avenue and Jefferson Street.

A passenger in the vehicle, 26 year old Wilson Mandez, was killed and Ulloa was injured.

"The investigation later determined that Fredis was the driver of that vehicle and his blood alcohol content registered at a .186 that night," said police officer Bill Dropinski.

Ulloa was arrested and scheduled to appear in court but he never appeared for his preliminary hearing.

Investigators told KETV Newswatch 7 that Ulloa probably left the country and has been out of the area for the past year and a half, but they believe he is now back in town.

Ulloa is Hispanic, 39 years old, five feet tall and may weigh about 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes

Anyone with information about him is asked to contact Crime Stoppers either by calling (402) 444-STOP or going online to OmahaCrimeStoppers.net

The Crime Stoppers program is bilingual and based on anonymity. People who call with good information do not have to use their name and they could get a cash reward.
