Suspected Gang Member Wanted In Shooting

Police are searching for a man who they call a suspected gang member and who may have been involved in a recent shooting.

Investigators said Corey Harris allegedly fired a gun into a car near 23rd and Martha the afternoon of April 23rd.

A female in the backseat was hit by a gunshot and was taken to the hospital with what was described as a non-life threatening wound.

Police told KETV Newswatch 7 that Harris is a dangerous man.

"Corey Harris has a history of graffiti and being related to gangs and carry concealed weapons, " said Officer Bill Dropinski.

Harris is described as a white man, 22 years old, 5-feet 11-inches tall, weighs about 240 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes.

Harris also has two very distinguishable tattoos on his forearms. They read: "Smile Now" and "Cry Later".

Police want anyone with information about Harris to contact Crime Stoppers either by calling the hotline at 444-STOP (7867), or by going online to OmahaCrimeStoppers.net.

Either way anyone who provides a good tip will remain anonymous and could get cash for whay they know.
