Two internationally-renowned artists spent a Tuesday evening in Omaha.

The famous environmental artists are known for gigantic pieces in New York City’s Central Park and the Reichstag in Berlin.

“We build them, we enjoy them and we remove them because we want our work to be temporary. We never do the same work twice,” Jean-Claude said.

The pair will work with Union Pacific on their latest project.

The want to wrap the north banks of the Arkansas River in Colorado.

But they have another connection in Omaha. They are on the board of Bemis.

Jean-Claude and Christo shared their work with the 700 people who came to see them at a Bemis event.

Jean-Claude said, "our works are like our children, they come out of our two hearts and two heads.”
